We've been successful in receiving data from a server on 2 partitions, dev + qa. When we execute going to production, there's a problem. A msg in Sysopr shows --
Message . . . . : User profile TRANSFER disabled for iSeries Support for
Windows Network Neighborhood access.
Cause . . . . . : User profile TRANSFER exceeded the maximum number of
incorrect sign-on attempts when connecting to iSeries Support for Windows
Network Neighborhood (iSeries NetServer). This user profile has been
disabled for iSeries NetServer access. The latest failure was received from
workstation 172.16.221.74 at IP address 172.16.221.74.
The authorities/setup are identical on dev/qa. Only difference is qmaxsign is 3 on prod and 10 on others. Nav setup also good.
The guy running his script from DOS has mapping set up properly. From a window on his end, he sees "Access is Denied".
Message suggests restarting iSeries NetServer. I'm not going to pull that trigger.
Any suggestions?.
TIA,
Matt
