I IPL'd from D but I had the I_BASE_01 CD in so maybe that's why it came up.
There was an option on there to get out of it anyway so it was no big deal
but it was something I had never seen before.
Thanks,

Did you IPL in C mode instead of A/B/D?
C is some service mode that there's almost no documentation about.
Or did you IPL in D mode and had the hw test CD inserted?
Some 520 machines had a "hardware test cd" delivered with them. Again,
not documented, but it could be something like this.

This is a new one for me. I was going to IPL in manual mode so I can go
into DST and when it came back up, I found this (see subject line)
interface
on my console. A password was required, which I guess wasn't my DST
password because one attempt disabled it and I had to IPL again.
Granted it's been about 5 or 6 years since I've had to go into DST for
anything but I don't remember this. Is that the new face of DST?
