There is no IBM provided CL command to activate IP packet rules.

However I recently (August 31 2007) left IBM and formed my own company Bruce Vining Services. The goal of the company is to provide integration tools and applications to enable greater system automation. Specific focus areas include green screen (CL) tool access to Navigator functions, tool access to functions not currently available through CL or Navigator, system automation application offerings, and consultation (for those who have programming staffs) on how to write a given tool themselves.

As ensuring that the correct filter rules are active should be a major concern for companies on the web a tool to automate rule activation would certainly make sense. If you are interested in such a CL interface please contact me directly at bvining@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

For that matter, feel free to contact me on any other Navigator enabled functions that you would like to access in a green screen fashion.

Dear colleagues,

I saw that I can activate IP packet rules by
the iSeries Navigator GUI.
I want to do it from CL command
line.
Is there a way to do it?

Zvi
