I wrote a utility that works in a similar fashion to the process
described below. I needed to edit source files on an HP3000 (yuck),
and the editor on that machine was a line type editor that I found
"limited", to say the least. So, I wrote a util that would GET (FTP)
the source from the source system, optionally run SEU on the iSeries,
then when finished PUT the source back from where it came. With a
little bit of tweaking it could be changed to work with another
iSeries or AS/400 or S/38 or ....
