Good News Everybody!

A new search engine is coming soon.

As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.

If you are only journalling AFTER images, the system will turn on BEFORE
images for the commit cycle. It needs the Before images in order to do a
rollback. I had thought that previously the system threw away the before
images when they were no longer needed for recovery but I think that they
are now being kept.

In order to utilize commitment control do you have to be journaling
BEFORE and AFTER images for a DB file, or is this turned on
automatically when commitment control is initiated?
