We are a System i, Model 520 at V5R3, being new to System i
Administration the link helped me find our HMC Version and Release which
is V4R1.2, I am almost certain we have never updated our HMC. How do I
determine our Firmware Level? I would like to upgrade to V5R4 correctly
:-)
TIA

HMC Code Considerations for Upgrading to V5R4 of i5/OS:
HMC Code is not directly affected by partition operating system changes
or
upgrades for those partitions running i5/OS. However, where a change in
i5/OS requires a change in Server Firmware, HMC code levels must be
considered. V5R4 of i5/OS requires a minimum server firmware level of
SF235_160. The associated HMC Code level is V5R1.0. If an upgrade in
server firmware is required in support of an upcoming operating system
upgrade, the HMC should be upgraded to V5R1.0 or later before the
firmware
is upgraded.
