NOTE TO SELF: ALWAYS check iSeries Navigator BEFORE asking the list......

Thanks Lukas, that did it, onward and upward.................

You'll need to use iSeries Navigator for the Initial Configuration of
the directory server.

This is also where you can set the initial password.

Subject: IBM Virtualization engine/IBM Director Install

Trying to do this as a proof of concept in my spare time, searching not
getting me any luck, so I am throwing it out here:

In the IBM virtualization Installation wizrd to the point where it's
asking
for the Directory Server Connection Information

Tried both the i5 host name and the IP address

server port 389

In the Directory server administrator user id (says that the cn= is
required) tried cn=my id and password, QSECOFR and pw, Administrator
pw=administrator, and they all tell me its an invalid administrator user
id
or password for servername:389

What the HECK should I be using or how do I find out what it is/change
it
even point me in the right direction............

The Directory Server is started on the i5, even stopped and restarted it
and
its running jobs under id QDIRSRV, tried QDIRSRV with no pw, tried with
QDIRSRV,....
