Pete,

No cert should ever be a "GIMME".

I have taken about 6 exams (System Design, System Implementer, System Admin,
LPAR, MultiSystem Admin, and Sales) and I am now part of the team currently
writing two of the exams (some of the others on this list are as well). I
can tell you, the tests are not a "give-me". You have to know your
material, and you have had to had practical experience. With that said,
someone who has been a true Systems Admin for 1 to 2 years, should be able
to pass the test. I would imagine the same holds true for the RPG tests.
The idea of the tests is to test someone's knowledge of the subject, and to
make sure they meet the minimum requirements set forth in the test
decription.

There is a practice test so that you can walk thru a set of questions to
know if you are ready.

To the best of my best of my knowledge, there NEVER HAVE been any study
guides, there ARE NO study and most likely never will be... ...unlike
almost every other major accepted certification in the industry...

The reasons for/against vary...but the net effect is that they don't exist.

In my opinion, this is one of the reasons they've not been accepted by the
industry...nobody knows what to study for...and this is different than
promoting the concept of "learning the exam"...
