My guess on the pull is because it is getting out there ahead of some of
the announcements.
I think IBM has worked very hard on the changes and that they provide
many benefits. Not without some pain so I think you want to get the
word out properly to minimize rampant speculation. The redpiece
probably was not their desired first word......
