Thanks, Joe, but we are a small business (200 employees) and probablypublic-dcavaiani-noMPgthGbmr3oGB3hsPCZA-8ByrlEUxsivZ+VzJOa5vwg@xxxxxxxxxxxxx
would need considerably less volume horsepower and cost to fit our
needs.
I would like the software/indexing portion to be on the System i5, but
would prefer the actual document disk storage portion to be on a
Windows server. Recall access would be Browser Based.

We use IBM's Content Manager for iSeries for the back end and Ascent
Capture by Kofax for the front end and we scan/import about 10,000
documents per day.
I can go into greater detail about how we use it if you like.

listMy boss would like us to look into our first "imaging" application.07/13/07 7:16 AM >>>
As the starter project, he would like Purchase Requisitions/Purchase
Orders, and the related Packing Slips and Invoices all scanned in,
Indexed, filed, and available for RECALL and Drill Down.
I'm sure the software is the key productivity point here (whether home
grown or purchased), and I'm wondering what some of your good (and bad
) experiences have been in this area?
