IBM of today is in the business of making huge profits in tech
services and business software applications. The brand is db2,
websphere, IBM global services. The system p,z,i,x platform that db2
or websphere applications run on is an afterthought, a distraction
from the money and control to be had from locking an enterprise into
mega $million contracts to run IBM controlled application software and
services.
