Cool... hope this will help then... call in to service and have them walk
you through rebuilding those services if that ends up being the problem.
We saw it on 1 out of 4 *NWSDs on this system, which makes me think the one
was a glitch. Basically, without the services running, the tech told me
the Windows side never really get's driven to shut down the server and then
the i5 side eventually kills the job at the end of the timeout.

Yes I have. We have 9 IXS cards in one lpar. I have our downtime
instructions say "You may get a call on my phone from IBM wondering if we
are mucking around because our IXS cards called in...". So, it's pretty
regular. I wonder if I had them do a Start, Shutdown, and after that is
good and dead, do the varying off of the nws' if we'd have that issue?

IXS servers not shutting down properly after V5R4

Anyone else have trouble with their IXS servers not shutting down properly
after upgrading to V5R4? Now that we are at V5R4 and have synched our
IXSs
to the new PTF level on the server side, they are not shutting down
properly - they reach the limit specified on their *NWSD descriptions (15
min default) and then are ended abnormally and throw an error on the
*LINXX
type hardware resource. We are at latest cume, groups, and have the
integration group installed. I'm working with IBM on the problem, but was
wondering if anyone else has seen this...
