The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.

Al Mac,

The best reply was "no guarantees ... you are free to use our
stuff on the new OS version ... we can give you no promises
whether it will work or not ... plus we won't ding you any $
for doing this "transfer"'

Which is a major reason why I'd sooner buy software from a vendor that put
on it's website "You must be running V5R3 or above" than a vendor that
thumped it's chest and claims that their software is supported all the way
back to V2R2. Heck I wouldn't mind if they put on there:
"We only support operating systems that have not reached "End of support"
as per:
http://www-304.ibm.com/jct01004c/systems/support/i/planning/software/i5osschedule.html
"
I also wouldn't mind if they could put something in there (but I am sure
there are some legal hairs to split with IBM) about being an active
participant in IBM's Early Ship Program. I'd like to know that their
stuff was tested and ready on announcement date, or, at least no later
than GA.
