When we first bought our current accounting package
Sysgen/Integral/Software Plus/Unicorn... (notice the acquisition trend
here?) we almost went with Software 2000 because of features but didn't
because of price. Keep in mind, we just moved from the S/36 and the very
reasonably priced Harris Data (which we outgrew, feature wise). Some time
later Sysgen bumped up their prices. They claimed they were losing sales
because people thought they were too cheap and must not be as feature
rich. We told them that at that price we would have went with Software
2000.

Now I hear the vendor hasn't enhanced their software in years, has had no
new customers, is moving to hosted solutions and has given us notice to
buy elsewhere.

We will most likely be moving to BPCS financials. We've had their ERP for
years (3rd customer they ever had, and oldest customer still doing
business with them). Their financials have grown from a "me too" to
something that's real.
