Re: Actual line from an employee review

In 1985 I was downgraded on my annual review because:

1) I didn't get a haircut often enough
(anyone who knows me will think this is quite funny...I'm bald-headed)

2) I occasionally crunched lifesavers while in meetings
(there were bowls full of mini-packs of lifesavers with the company logo in every meeting room...)

3) and finally, I walked into my manager's office once while eating a banana
(there were also bowls of free fruit scattered throughout the office...)

Prior to my review, I had interviewed with Cap Gemini consulting and had a good job offer from them.
I had already planned to quit after my review, because I could tell he was trying to drive me away.

At the end of my review, I gave my 2-week notice - and his exact words were "Pack your shit and leave right NOW!"

It felt as if I had been fired...
