Well, here's another thing, Paul. Before I installed V5R4 I got my ePOE's (Proof of Entitlement). I've still got those in my files and they include 5722SS1 feature 5050 (the base i5/OS), but nothing about feature 5051.

Ok, cool, I thought I'd re-check the key management site. Only now there's not even an ePOE for 5721SS1. Period. I mean, everything else is there (WDS, SQL, Query, etc.).
How's Texas?

Pete,

I installed the PTF a little over 1.5 hours ago. Looking at QSYSOPR's messages, I see the CPI9E64 right after the IPL messages but nothing since then.

Jerry,

You will not get the message after installing that fix. I was
getting it at one of my customers hourly right after we installed the
latest
cume, and as soon as we installed the fixing ptf it went away.

Not normal was my thought, too, Larry.

I've ordered the PTF suggested by Joel and Lukas. If I still get the message after installing it, I'll definitely contact support.

Well the license key information looks correct. The 'mystery message' though would make me want to talk to support to find out what's going on! It's almost as if it's repeatedly re-installing the key which clearly doesn't seem normal!

I installed Cume 7107 for V5R4 on one of our 520's last week. Since then QSYSOPR gets dozens of informational messages (CPI9E64) every day:
Message . . . . : License key information installed for 5722SS1. Cause . . . . . : License key information was installed for product 5722SS1
license term V5 feature 5051.
Our other 520, which also has V5R4 installed but not 7107, does not have

these messages (that I have been able to find, anyway). The WRKLICINF has the following:

Product ID . . . . . . . . : 5722SS1 License term . . . . . . . : V5 Feature . . . . . . . . . . : 5051 Description . . . . . . . . : i5/OS Compliance type . . . . . . : *KEYED Usage type . . . . . . . . : *PROCESSOR Usage limit . . . . . . . . : 1 Last update . . . . . . . . : 00/00/00 00:00:00 Threshold . . . . . . . . . : 1 Usage count . . . . . . . . : .43 Peak Usage Information: Peak usage . . . . . . . : .43 Last peak . . . . . . . . : 06/09/04 10:17:40 Log violations . . . . . . : *NO Message queue/Library . . . : *NONE
Keyed compliance information: Expiration date . . . . . : *NONE
Grace period . . . . . . : 0 Date grace period expires : *NONE

I'm just curious what gives, plus whether or not it can potentially bite

me in the butt.

Thanks.
