Another solution would be to combine both and put the result of an SQL
into a user space and map the user space to a either an array or
multiple occurrence data structure so

Exec Sql Fetch Next From C1 Into :Array For 32766 Records;

If SqlState <> '00000';
w_RowCount = SQLERRD(3)
EndIf;

You can then just read the array from the last record.
