End of line does not mean end of statement. The semi colon does. Sort of
like RPG /free.

Here's the contents of one member that I processed with RUNSQLSTM:

CREATE TABLE QTEMP/DARRELL
(MYKEY CHAR (1 ) NOT NULL WITH DEFAULT,
MYDATA CHAR (15 ) NOT NULL WITH DEFAULT);

INSERT INTO QTEMP/DARRELL VALUES('A', 'Yo dude');

update qtemp/darrell
set mydata='Everest'
where mykey='A';
