You have mentioned EGL enough that I would like to take a look at it.
We have access to the IBM Software Access Catalog and searching on the
phrase "EGL" gets me a few hits. I have 4 hits for Windows version
Rational Application Developer V 6.0:

Interestingly, there is nothing under the WDSc 7.0 listings. Is EGL
only available with WDSc 6.XX versions?

I'd like to give this a whirl. Finding the right image to download is
the challenge.

The EGL V6 tooling was bundled with WDSC V6.

IBM has unbundled it and it is now called RBDe (Rational Business Developer
extensions). RBDe V7 is what you need to get your hands on if you want to
use EGL with WDSC V7.
