WDSC is slow to start up. In pre lap top days I would start it onMonday
and shut it down on Fridays. Now that I am required to take my lap topone
home at night (DR requirement) I start it daily.
However start up time should not be part of the picture, any more than
would buy a PC over an iSeries just because the PC reboots faster.for
Sounds like you're the manager. Try this.
Upgrade everyone to a kick butt PC. Maybe even nice laptops.
Schedule Jon Paris and/or Susan Gantner to come on site for a few days
WDSC training.above
Hike the laptops into your conference/training room.
While they are there, delete the command STRSEU. Otherwise all the
is money down the pisser to the SEU Neanderthals.that
We did all the above except the deletion of the command. Result was
no one wanted to put up with a ramp up curve and very few switched.Second
generation programmers are eating it up.how

Re: My first "viral" video
That "viral" was awesome! Brings back memories of when I was a
programmer..... and why I'm not one now.....
http://youtube.com/watch?v=czWvC2xRnRo
Question, though, for this panel. How many of you are using WDSC and
many are still using PDM/SEU? I can't get my programmers to move ontolist
WDSC, and it looks like it should be sweet! They say it's too slow and
cumbersome..... and they ARE very fast.
If I did more programming (which I sadly don't have time for), I'd be
doing
a more thorough shakedown myself.
Opinions, please?
