A data mapping error occurred on field CBDUEDATE in record number
4294967295...
17 -- The format of the data in a date, time, or timestamp field is
not valid.
I whipped up a quick program to read every record in the file and to
move the date field in question into another date field, assuming it
would bomb if there was bad data in the file's date field (defined as a
date data type). I ran the open query file on the i5 and then called
the program and had no issue.
The key mapping error that follows the data mapping error simply refers
to the previous error.
For a little background information, what I'm doing here is
"replicating" an existing i5 inquiry program as a VARPG application,
where this open query file functionality is working without issue.

CPF5035 is a data mapping error. CCSID is one possible cause, but there
are lots of other possible causes. (The CPF5035 is causing the CPF5097
error)
Take a look at the 2nd-level text for CPF5035 for more info.
