Well...if you plan on using MySQL with PHP, and want to access DB2
data, you can use the forthcoming DB2 pluggable engine. That way you
can have your RPG LOB apps access DB2 natively (SQLish or flatfileish)
and have your PHP apps access DB2 through the MySQL Server engine.
Same data (in DB2) accessed by different apps. The MySQL Server and
PHP could run on whatever platform and still access DB2 data.
