Do you always use F17 or do you sometimes put the 'position to' on the
page itself?

As is often stated on this list, do you really have users scroll down
through 9,999+ records? No one does. After they scroll down the first
time or two, they hit F17 and "position to". At that time either use the
page-at-a-time, or,
- Only fill 9,999 rows. After you get the error when the user actually
tries to try to roll past 9,999 records (like that will ever happen) then
refill the subfile.
Another thing that is often stated, is even Google has limits on the
number of hits displayed. Users can accept this.
