I have posted a new version of iDate, my SQL user defined function to
convert dates to date data types from iSeries type dates.

I, also, added a new function called ConvertToIDate. This is probably
not something people will use a lot but I had a need and added it.

ConvertToIDate takes a Date Data Type and converts it to a iSeries type
of date. Specifically, the value is returned as integer field in the
format requested.

Assume your default date format of *CCYMD.

Select ConvertToIDate(Date_Field) From YourFile

You get back 20070524.

Or

Select ConvertToIDate(Date_Field,'*MDY') From YourFile

You get back 052407.

Also, a bug fix with a character date that was blank.
