They HAD to promote that person to management. They were too dangerous
for hands on. We had an IBM CE that fit that bill also. There's a school
of thought that no one subscribes to - Who says management has to be paid
more than the producers? I am sure there are only a rare few exceptions
(top insurance salespeople perhaps).
