Do you know that this group comprises primarily System i proponents

evangelists? Promoting a server that is inferior is rather

inappropriate for

this forum.

But this list (and more accurately, many companies represented on this
list) are also very big proponents of burying their heads in the sand
and ignoring progress. If you want an example, look at the adoption rate
of ILE, or the HTML capabilities of most (NOT ALL!!!) iSeries
programmers; or, one I know is near to your heart, the fact that many
still call the machine we work on an AS/400... what's the line? "We've
not sold an AS/400 since the last millennium?"

Steve tends to push the edge of i vs. p quite a lot, just as others
(yours truly) push the Microsoft angle quite a bit, but that doesn't
mean we dislike the System i! We're just aware that there are other
options in the real world, and as Sir Francis Bacon said, Knowledge is
Power.
