Good question!
Other LICPGMs measure the peaks of usage, but it would probably be tough to
see that bubble up to the i5/OS level from Domino. Especially with Domino
partitioning, etc.

How does one measure how many concurrent Notes users are hitting it? Honor
system of: assume that all users who can access that system, minus an
average absenteeism, are on the system?

Re: User based pricing for the System i
When I asked several IBM'ers at Common if the new 515 and 525 pricing
models were fitting current customers well, they said they were receiving
plenty of feedback they they were not. One of them that's pretty far up
the food chain said that they were mulling over a concurrent scheme...
hopefully this holds true and we'll see something official very soon!

From my ISV manager:
===
Thank you for your input over the past few weeks and at PartnerWorld. We
heard your message loud and clear!
On Friday a decision was made to change the way we count users for the 515
and 525 user base pricing. Instead of charging by "named users" we are
going to change to "concurrent users." This change is effective
immediately!

They're having a webcast for ISVs, but it's pretty clear what's up:
user-based pricing for the System i.
