That was the first thing that came to mind for me (the arcade Frogger);
guess that dates me :-)

Randy Egan described "frogger" on c.s.i.a.m 10-Sep-1998 as "a term
used inside the Rochester hallways to refer to an _access method_ used
to position to keys in an index by 'jumping' from one range of key
values to the next (just like the frog in the old arcade game call
'Frogger'). I have been on a personal quest trying to remove the usage
of that term from any communications outside of the lab." The
terminology of course remains in the LIC message. That level of
information describes to the DB2 query developer, details about the
failing request. And having a name is beneficial to enable discussion
about an algorithm, what it effects or how it is failing.
