Or a cost cutting measure...
Application development tools for System i were moved into Rational in
the last month or so, consolidating under one Software Group brand the
development tools for all of IBM's hardware platforms.


Steve's question is reasonable as it could actually deemphasize system i.

OPM is basically dead, so any compiler references would be for ILE based
languages. ILE the program model would probably remain with Rochester.

Maybe we'll be able to run RPG on p flavored hardware.
