The total size of all of the files are +37gig. If my calculations are
correct, I am getting about a 6mb/s transfer rate. Both sides are set at
100mb / full duplex. My guess is that there is a bottleneck in the
network somewhere or else I would see the AS400 card utilizations max
out.

How large are the files? What speeds are the interconnects (iSeries

We have GigaMAN connecting our data centers and the iSeries have Gb
Full Duplex
Ethernet connections (but not jumbo frames). I get about 18MB/s on
large FTPs.
Not quite full gigabit but considering the boxes are miles apart it's
pretty darn fast.
