As with the AS/400, IBM published a "IBM System/38 Technical
Developments" book around the time of the system's introduction (1978).
ISBN 0-933186-00-2. It contains a collection of articles written by
various system contributors such as G.G. Henry and F.G. Soltis. "File
and data definition facilities in the System/38" (C.D. Truxoal and S.R.
Ridenour) talks about externally defined files, but does not mention DDS
specifically.
