The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.
If you know of an easy to use, open source, search engine ... please contact support@midrange.com.

It isn't necessary. Most of my clients don't run it.
You do need to have it running if you wanted to use ObjectConnect's
SAVRST* commands or wanted to transfer files or splfs using SNDNETF or
SNDNETSPLF.

Subject: QSNADS
Is running QSNADS still necessary? Documentation says it only does
APPC/APPN communications. We only have one iSeries and everything that
we do is IP based. Not sure about IBM's ECS and other "phone home"
functions IBM has running.
