The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.

A one page only-text scs spooled file can become a 3-4K
pdf if compressed with standard FlateEncode (that is the
standard compressing for text streams) and without
embedding fonts. Each font included takes 30K.
If rasterized it grows up to 50-80K if compressed with G4
(as the IBM api trasformer does). This can be further
compressed with jbig2 and the resulting Pdf can be 75-80%
less than rasterized G4 thus becoming 15-20K.
Infoprint creates pdf with embedded fonts as default;
that's why a single page is so big, but pdf with a great
number of pages grows just a little.
Different sizes for afp, but this depends on many other
factors.
