The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.
If you know of an easy to use, open source, search engine ... please contact support@midrange.com.
One can also edit the .WS object with Notepad. Put the statement KeepAlive=Y
immediately after the [Telnet 5250] statement.

Subject: RE: TN5250 Sessions timing out
Turn off your windows firewall. OS400 V5R2 will send a keep alive probe
to each established TN5250 connection. Windows Firewall blocks this.
OS400 drops the connections.

The
TN5250 sessions will time out after 5 - 10 minutes of inactivity. I
have many other PC's in the office running the same version of CA that
do not have this problem. I'm thinking it is probably a setting
either
in CA or on XP itself that is causing this, but I have not been able
to
determine what it might be. In the iSeries job log I'll see the
following error messages at the time of the timeout. Sorry about the
orientation.
