Biggest advantage in the 515 vs 270 arena is CPU.  It is a full CPU, 
3800 CPW, although I see 600 "I/O Intensive" CPW noted because of the 2 
x 70GB disk configuration. Increasing the disk arms would improve the 
I/O intensive applications. 1 GB RAM is also a plus although you'd 
probably want 2-4GB if you were pushing Java workloads.

Entry on the 520 Express was $8200 but it was a 30/600 CPW machine. A 
full 3100 CPW with the accelerator would have been around $22k.  I don't 
remember the what the 270 entry pricing and CPW ratings were.

In any case, the 515/525 is designed to deliver a full Java workload to 
the entry space.  Before, you'd have to spend quite a few $$ just to 
adequately run a Java workload on an entry level machine.  I haven't 
seen the full pricer, but theoretically a development machine for 5 
users and the 50% developer discount would come in at around $5500.
