An IBM SAVE cannot save damaged objects.
You will get messages in the log of the job doing the save, and elsewhere, identifying which objects could not be saved and why.

There are different kinds of SAVEs
Go Save 21 saves everything
Go Save others less than everything
Go Backup maybe not all libraries
Stuff written for the particular client site.

You need a save everthing to have the save inspect everything to locate damaged objects that cannot be saved. You do not want to do a partial save that might be ignoring damaged objects that you need to know about.

I don't know all the processes appropriate to fix different kinds of damaged objects.
But the first task is to get an inventory of what is damaged, or to find out if the problem is something other than damaged objects.

Hi Al,

Thanks for that - I thought the reclaim storage fixed damaged objs, but now
I see that you have to do a save first for the system to find them - is that
the case?

thanks,

Clare
