Hi,
Wireshark and Microsoft Network Monitor are your friends.
Use them to find out what goes on on the network. This will help you to
pinpoint the issue. Most probably access to one of the host servers on
your System i is blocked.

Subject: Problem with fixcentral
I'm having a problem with fix central, I was hoping that someone on this
list may have also had.
I'm getting this right after I enter my as400 user id and password.
java.lang.NullPointerException
I called IBM and the rep seems to think I have a firewall issue. I have
contacted my security people, but I was hoping to have a better
understanding of what is going on, so I can pass that information on the
my security guy.
Thanks
