Regarding Scott's comment "If it'd help, I can look up the precise Rumba option
that you need to set the auto-signon stuff..."

I would think you'd want to control that and not allow it, considering it opens
a "hole" on the user's desktop where anyone could just walk up and double-click
the iSeries session icon and off they go (that is, provided they get to the
open workstation prior to the automatic, password-protected screensaver that
should be in place... ;-)

What is your QRMTSIGN system value set to? *FRCSIGNON is the recommended value
and it specifies that remote sign-ons are allowed, but the user must sign-on
with a valid user profile and password for the target system. I believe that
it would also force the green-screen signon screen in this case, as well, even
if they select "bypass signon" in their Rumba or iSeries Access configuration.
