The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.
If you know of an easy to use, open source, search engine ... please contact support@midrange.com.
Yep. Set virtual processors to the max # of physical processors the
LPAR can use, always round up. 2.01 physical CPUs = 3 virtual.
There can be exceptions, like if you're trying to use virtual CPUs to
manage workload constraints, but you're generally better off doing that
with i5/OS workload management techniques than trying to manage it via
VCPUs.
BTW, you'll achieve slightly improved performance if you assign CPUs to
LPARs in whole CPU increments as it reduces some of the FSP overhead.
