There is no mail router, *NONE. This is email from the iSeries at V5R3 itself. Question, when does CHGNETA changes for DNS severs take effect? We changed our DNS servers over the weekend but I can ping the names, NSLOOKUP returns the MX records for the domains and the IP address. I have ended MSF and SMTP then started SMTP followed by MSF. SNDDST works but SNDEMAIL and MAILTOOL which both use the native SMTP server do not send any email. Is it your System i? If so, do you also have the POP server active? No errors are generated. No smart host so it is just sending the emails out. I am going to turn journaling back on for smtp and see if
it records an error. Funny thing is the QTMSMTP directory is being cleared out as if the email was sent. Sending via SNDDST to the same address works instantly. I am having an issue sending email out this morning. I can send using SNDDST *LMSG with no problems but MAILTOOL and SENDEMAIL command that use raw SMTP do not work. I have checked all the setting under SMTP via OPSNAV as well as ended SMTP and SMTP. I still cannot get email out.
