Re: System i LPARs

Key words are: "Theoretically possible. Blows the mind..." I am no virtualization expert (obviously), but my involvement with running Linux on an LPAR and then running Windows inside of VMware on Linux, got me to thinking. I hadn't given thought to the Intel vs PPC conundrum so perhaps my musing was premature. Xen will run on PPC architectures but I guess I'll have to research what Guest OS's it would support.
Still, the whole virtualization thing is very cool and opens up all sorts of possibilities.

We have two customers running Linux LPAR's (SUSE) and use it for web serving. Works like I champ and I took a snapshot of the server when it was stable and I can always restore that image if I need a quick recovery.
