I'm using PuTTY (in Telnet mode) rather than Client Access to connect to our iSeries (because I saw something on an IBM web site about using PuTTY to get a character mode connection to the SFTP server rather than block mode). Correction to my previous post: I'm CALLing QP2TERM from a command line on our iSeries. When I get into PASE mode, I enter SFTP sftp.targetsite.com and get the response that I previously posted: "Cannot load program . . . because of the following errors". Eventually, I want to use CALL QP2SHELL in order to automate the process. Please clarify your use of PuTTY. Are you using it as a replacement for Client Access (or any other 5250 emulator) or are you using it to connect to the SSH server (the same one that you're using SFTP to connect to?) or...? When you type "CALL QP2SHELL" you're doing that on a regular i5/OS command-line, right? Not from within PASE? Steve McKay wrote:Jerry - Thanks for your help. Using PuTTY, I entered CALL QP2SHELL and my SFTP command and info and got exec(): 0509-036 Cannot load program /QOpenSys/QIBM/ProdData/SC1/OpenSSH/openssh-3.5p1/bin/ssh because of the following errors: 0509-130 Symbol resolution failed for ssh because: 0509-136 Symbol __fd_select (number 65) is not exported from dependent module /usr/lib/libc.a(shr.o). 0509-192 Examine .loader section symbols with the 'dump -Tv' command. Ever seen that before? I believe that I'm current on PTFs . . . Thanks, Steve
