The mindset here when we first brought in the iSeries (AS400) was to
limit the number of NETWORK printers on the Host - it didn't take long
to realize how much easier it is to let the users print on the printers
that they are familiar with - this wasn't as hard to do as you would
think - considering that we use a handful of printer models & vendors -
and they all have definitions available - we clone these from printer to
printer - our users love it - operations loves it - we all win! -

In the long run - much cleaner then any other method of printing from
the iSeries to any printer then involving a browser or other third party
- - -

And then again there is always Client Access - where you can drag and
drop printer output from the iSeries into a .TXT file on your desktop -
and do with it as you please - - -

Subject: Spooled output to local printer

Looking for suggestions of software (preferably browser based) that will
allow a user to print their iSeries spooled output to a local network
attached printer, without a lot of iSeries virtual printer definitions.
Will iSeries Access for Web do this?
