Josh, To your questions about QMF for Windows/Websphere.. "One thing I couldn't find is documentation about generating a report from within Java/RPG. Is this something you've done?" No, for a couple of reasons: 1) We want to use the native query product to do what it does best... allow queries to be created in the QMF for Windows tool and "published" to a server so they could be used by a multitude of end users using a Web browser thereby eliminating the need for a copy of the Windows version for all end users. 2) We wouldn't do any development in RPG in the first place unless absolutely necessary. We'd use either .ASP, .NET or PERL talking to DB2/400 or REXX with SQL. Are you aware of any documentation? Yes, documentation is available for both Windows and Java Class APIs. In fact, I'm looking at the documentation right now to ensure I could properly respond to your question. The documentation comes with the product and I don't know if it available before you buy. However, if you like you can call me and I can read you some of the API documentation OR I can ask my technical contact if I can have you call him to see if he can send you a copy before you buy. HTH, Dave
