I guess we hesitate to offer any more suggestions because your management 
may quickly come up with an ideal to squelch that also.  :-)
1 - Must use STRPASTHR and not TELNET.
2 - Cannot create user profiles.
Hopefully you were just trying to avoid cancelling the whole job and 
management wasn't coming up with yet another sadistic idea to mess with 
you.
So I guess you're stuck with 
1-Cancelling the job
2 - Just signing on as regular and quickly entering a SIGNOFF ENDCNN(*YES) 
or ENDPASTHR.
