Brian, I've got one of those old 720s also but I think I will be able to replace it sometime in 2008. With a little luck and a willing budget. Unfortunately, we are still stuck with an older 720 that we can't even give away! /b; -----Original Message----- From: rob@xxxxxxxxx [mailto:rob@xxxxxxxxx] Sent: Wednesday, February 07, 2007 9:12 AM To: Midrange Systems Technical Discussion Subject: Re: iSeries SW Revision Options Don't know if they've already devalued to zero but an additional argument in pushing management to upgrade certain boxes now is that they are not supported in the next release. Trade them out before they devalue further. Those of you that like cheap obsolete hardware should be getting more on the market soon. I know that we'll be dumping our 270's. http://www-304.ibm.com/jct01004c/systems/support/i/planning/upgrade/osma pping.html Rob Berendt -- Group Dekko Services, LLC Dept 01.073 PO Box 2000 Dock 108 6928N 400E Kendallville, IN 46755 http://www.dekko.com -- This is the Midrange Systems Technical Discussion (MIDRANGE-L) mailing list To post a message email: MIDRANGE-L@xxxxxxxxxxxx To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/mailman/listinfo/midrange-l or email: MIDRANGE-L-request@xxxxxxxxxxxx Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/midrange-l.
