Performance Issues with ILE

Jan, back on September 27, you made the following comment:

 

"With COBOL once you cross the barrier between OPM and ILE you should not
call another OPM program until you are back in the OPM chain."

 

My question today is:  What effect does the use of OPM CL's have on the over
all performance to a relatively convoluted application flow?

 

I personally would like to see all of the elements in ILE but I have to
justify conversion before I will be allowed to do it.  By the way are there
any good metric tool available to show the operational differences between a
pure ILE environment and a ILE/OPM mixed bag?
