If someone was looking for good performance, but has been running into some dasd issues (running out of space), they decided to buy more dasd. No problem there, and they are running at Raid-5. What advantage do they get by configuring their new dasd at Raid-1 (mirroring)? Wouldn't that be a waste if they are already at Raid-5, and dasd has been an issue?
