When the HMC first came out I thought it was a festering road apple. But now I rather like it. I like the remote access capabilities. Firmware and HMC maintenance is a discomfort. Beats having a proprietary terminal though that in order to upgrade it you had to have a CE come out and replace a chip. Also I've had to replace a lot of failing twinax terminals. The switches on 3196s broke like potato chips. Only had to replace 1 HMC but that was because of issues that the average customer would not experience (let's leave it at that). Rob Berendt
