Beginning January 31, 2007 all IBM System i PTFs on physical media will
be delivered within an average of 5 to 7 working days.

IBM's preferred ordering and delivery of System i PTFs is electronic.
IBM has enhanced the Electronic Fix Distribution functionally through
use of Fix Central and SNDPTFORD. These enhancements provide the ability
to download fixes for IBM System i on demand. Fixes can be downloaded
directly to the system, or they can be ordered on virtual CD media that
can be downloaded and loaded into an image catalog or burned to a
physical CD for later use.

It is IBM's policy that expedited delivery of PTFs on media be reserved
for critical situations where electronic capabilities are not available
or do not exist. If the situation is not critical and an electronic
connection is either not available or does not exist, IBM will place a
CD in the mail (or UPSP International Delivery) to the customer.
Whenever an electronic connection exists it should be used to order and
download PTFs.
